About: Tom Luscher, US Navy RADM (ret.)
US Naval Academy graduate, Tom also attended the US Army War College where he received his masters. A retired US Navy Rear Admiral with over 30 years of service. He served as an F-14 Tomcat pilot with Fighter Squadron (VF) 143 aboard USS George Washington (CVN 73) and with Strike Weapons and Tactics School, Atlantic before transitioning to the Navy Reserve Full Time Support officer community in 1997. He completed his department head tour in Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VR) 53, served as officer in charge of VR-52 and commanded VR-1 Starlifters.
He commanded a Navy squadron and a naval air base, and as a flag officer he spent three years as Commander, Navy Reserve Forces Command in Norfolk, Virginia where he was responsible for the military readiness of 60,000 Navy Reserve Sailors. He was also a key architect of a new strategy to realign the Navy Reserve Force’s mission and workforce to support the current Department of Defense’s National Security Strategy.
Today, Tom helps nonprofit organizations grow their revenues and impact sustainably. After more than three decades serving our nation, Tom is committed to use the expertise he’s gained to serve his community.
